Another Sweet Baby Quick On The Way!!!

Okay so maybe the second time around I will be much better at this blog thing! For those of you who don't know, we are expecting another baby in April! I am 6 weeks and 1 day today. We are ecstatic about it! I am so anxious to meet our next lil bundle of joy! I have loved every minute of being a mommy to Kye and can't wait to share my love with another sweet lil one! I know Kye is going to be a great big brother. I have always said that I wanted my kids to be very close in age growing up, but didn't think it would actually happen that way. However, God knew it in His plans, and its going to be very special!
I am actually due on May 3rd but the doc said with it being a planned section, he will take the baby at 39 weeks which will actually be April 26th! Things are going to be really busy for us in the next 8 months or so since we are going to shoot for having our house built before the baby arrives!!

Okay so I am a terrible blogger. I love taking pictures and writing but the computer part of it throughs me for a loop! Well I am officially caught up with the pictures I have of Kye. Now to catch you up on his LIFE! I will just make it short and sweet!! He is almost 10 months now. My oh my has this last year flown by! He is the love of my life. Healthy, sweet, and not to say the cutest baby boy ever! I can't describe the love that I have for him and it only grows stronger each and every day I have with him. God has definitely blessed me with him.
He has grown up so fast. He is starting to take a few steps on his own so I know he will be walking any day now. He is very talkative and hates to sleep! I have just decided that sleep is OVERRATED! He hates baby food and is a picky eater at the moment. Last week I couldn't get him to eat anything but macaroni and cheese! I am sure he will be burnt out of that soon. Then what to do?!?

39 Weeks and 5 Days...

Well I have just about made it full term and it looks like we will be having baby Kye on Wednesday, Nov. 5. I am scheduled to have a section but don't have a specific time, just know that we have to arrive around 5:30 AM! That just means mommy has one more day to sleep late, and my freedom is over (however, that is okay!) For anyone who doesn't know, Kye will be born at Baptist.
As far as Kye is concerned, he is just laying back taking it easy until his big appearance. He is measuring now at 8lb and 3 oz! I can't wait to see how big he really is! And the countdown is on...a little less than 48 hours until my lil' man is here!!! I can't wait to meet this fellow in color!!!!!!!

39 Weeks

Well I have made it to 39 weeks now, but was really hoping Kye would be here by now. Looks like he is not quite ready to make his appearance in the real world! I guess he doesn't realize it is much better outside mommy's tummy.
We had a checkup on Monday and lil' man is measuring 7lbs and 8ozs (sounds like I may have a whopper, but I'm at the point I don't mind how big, I just want him out!) Doc said if he is not here by Monday, Nov.3, he will schedule a day next week to induce or for a section. I just hope Kye decides to come before then, but if not, I will let everyone know as soon as I can! Hopefully this will be my last post with pre baby Kye!!!!!!!!

38 Weeks

Well, I know I have not been doing a good job on updating you guys in the last couple of weeks. But I do apologize. Things have been a little crazy trying to make sure everything is ready for lil Kye to arrive. And boy is mommy miserable and exhausted these days. However, the countdown is on...ONLY 13 DAYS TO GO (if I make it full term) I am hoping the doc will induce if I have not had him next week,though. My lil man is just not ready to meet us quite yet. He must be a lil stubborn (I have no clue where he gets that from, maybe daddy!)
And sorry about not posting new sonogram pics but again lil man has been stubborn when it comes to taking pictures. However last week we did get one good pic because daddy still wasn't convinced about Kye being a lil man, but he sure did want to show off his stuff.

Belly Casting

Last week, Tracy came over and did my belly casting. It was a great experience! I never realized how big my belly actually was until the casting was finished and I was able to see it myself! Just to make myself feel better about my big tummy, Kye is now weighing 5 pounds, as of last Monday, so maybe that is most of the big space! Once Tracy finishes decorating it, I will post some more pics.

We are in the process of decorating Kye's sweet little room to accent all his cute furniture, trying to get ready for his arrival. Thanks to my friend Tracy, I am able to have cute paintings and art decor to make my lil' man's room even more special. Tracy, I would just like to say thank you for the beautiful artwork. About 35 Weeks...9 Months

Yay! I have almost made it to the finish line. I have survived 8 months of the preggy days and am approaching my last month. And boy is it tiring! No more days of good sleep, relaxation, or comfortableness and needless to say, it's simply miserable right now. I can no longer see anything below my belly especially my feet but I sure can feel them!!! Although I can't see my feet, everyone else can't help but see my big, swollen cankles and Fred Flintstone feet! However, I am closer to the soon to be arrival of my lil' man...Kye! Can't wait to meet him! I already love him so much!!

Well, Lil man and I have been blessed again. My wonderful friends threw me a shower. It was very sweet and special. All of my close friends sharing and celebrating this special time with me in my life...can't ask for anything more! I love these girls!

32 1/2 Weeks

Yesterday I had a doctor's visit. No sonogram, but everything seems to be well with my lil man and myself, just getting closer to the finish line. Of course, though, we found out mommy had gained a lil weight...this time it was a tolerable few pounds! Mommy is just itching to get into that gym to work off this extra poundage. I know it's all worth it though.

Well today I am 32 weeks! Today was an exciting day....It was my first baby shower and boy was it fun!!!!! I am so blessed to have a big family that is part of this special time in my life. My lil bundle of joy and myself were showered with many gifts. I would like to thank everyone who was a part of this special day. I greatly appreciate it!!!! LOVE YALL!!!!!

Well I have made it 3/4 of the way through this pregnancy. This journey has seemed long but yet exciting. I just had a checkup and began my 2 week visits. As of now I have gained a whoppin' 35 pounds...mommy is not too thrilled about that. But our lil' man is now weighing 3 and 1/2 pounds. I think he is gonna be a big fella! Things are going great. However, swollen cankles are now a part of my daily life along with backaches from toting extra poundage! What joys of the preggy days!!!!!!!!!! I would not change it for anything in the world though.

27 Weeks

Today was my monthly checkup. I have survived 6 months of the preggy days! According to the sonogram, I am 27 weeks and 2 days along...5 more days left of the 2nd trimester. Wow!! 2 down and 1 to go. And boy is our lil man growin just like mommy. Let's just say we are not gonna discuss big mamma's extra poundage, but lil man is now 2 lbs and 9 oz. I think he is going to be a hoss like his big brother and daddy. Lil man wouldn't cooperate today. He was so stubborn...just like daddy (haha)! He wouldn't turn so we didn't get good pics this time. I will try to get the pics that we have up soon.
For those of you who tune in quite often, I am going to take one last vacation by myself to KANSAS CITY before our lil man arrives. I have got one week to myself to do whatever I want!

Well if you can tell my belly isn't very small anymore. It is growing more and more every day! I am starting to experience more symptoms of being preggy, especially when it comes to bedtime. I can't seem to ever be comfortable in the bed anymore. It's either an aching back or belly. But it is all going to be worth it in the end! Lil man is getting ready to come and meet us. He is practicing his kicks more than ever these days. Last night, lil man proved to daddy that he could move. I think he was trying to tell him that he is already practicing his kicks for the football field! Haha...we know he is going to be a football player just like dad was and big brother, right?

Well, my lil' man and I have made it to week 24. Just about done with the 6th month. The preggy days are going by so fast! Only 16 weeks to go!!!! I was so excited when I got home this afternoon because I had 2 big boxes on my front porch. It was the baby bedding...it is so cute! Can't wait til the furniture comes in, then we can set up the nursery!!!!!!

Well, our lil man is a rockin' and a rollin' around in my belly these days! He seems to be very active like his daddy and big brother. In the last week, I have gotten a lot accomplished. I ordered his bedding . You can check it out at brandeedanielle.com. It is called Minky Blue Chocolate. It is so cute! Yesterday, I got to experience what it looks like to have cankles instead of ankles...it looked horrible and yet did not feel so good!! Everything else seems to be great being preggy!!!!

Hello everyone! I know some of you guys have been dying for me to update you all on the news of the Quick family with our new lil addition. First time being a preggy mom is hard and I am seemingly losing my mind at times, especially when it comes to the blogspot! Well, we have gotten a lot done in the past couple of days to get ready for our lil man. We are almost set on his name Kye Robert. We will just call him Kye, of course. Just had to get Robert in there so daddy would be happy. We have gotten his room painted...bayou blue (it's a little darker than a light blue). I hate to take any credit because I did not participate, but Josh got the room painted. I was so proud of him. He slaved for hours doing his first paint job! It looks great!!!! Thanks daddy!

Today was my 18 week checkup. I know it is hard to tell because supposedly he is turned around with his back towards us. We were told it was obvious he was a boy. Those Quick's know how to make boys!! I can't imagine another Josh running around here. This makes 3!!!

Today was just a routine checkup visiting the doc. We tried to find out early what sweet baby Quick was going to be, but the precious lil' one wasn't quite ready to show off what God gave it. What a stubborn Quick! Can't you just move those legs of yours!!
